Hello and welcome to the latest Weekender.
Looks like the collage community is waking up again after a few weeks of calm and well-deserved rest at the beginning of the year. Lots of articles, interviews, the first open call (that we're aware of, don't forget to let us know if anything interesting is happening!) and finally real and very relevant news for us (the kind we've been expecting for a while).
AI-generated art has been proliferating, something that will affect graphic and collage artists, illustrators and graphic designers possibly more than other visual artists, and the first of them are fighting back. There are plenty of articles floating around so we only shared two (information is easy enough to find once you know what you're looking for.)
Therefore and without further ado, the latest collage news and inspiration. Enjoy!
Substack, this here newsletter platform, offers paid subscriptions, but this is no paywall. We believe in making art accessible to the widest possible audience, and our newsletter will remain free for anyone to read. Opting for a paid subscription is a way to support the collective and all we do. So is signing up to our Artist Directory. Think about it :)
