“The first step - especially for young people with energy and drive and talent, but not money - the first step to controlling your world is to control your culture. To model and demonstrate the kind of world you demand to live in. To write the books. Make the music. Shoot the films. Paint the art.”
― Chuck Palahniuk

OPEN CALL: Each issue of Collazine explores the blending of the creative process of collage by exploring the various techniques used by collagists in their experimentation. The third issue is dedicated to artist books, increasingly popular objects freely designed using mixed media. The book, as well as the sketchbook, have become mediums of great narrative and symbolic value; the artist collects and transforms their own reflections between the pages in an attempt to find a safe place for them, as a way to preserve their memory.
