NEWS
For the show, Jonathan Anderson, Loewe’s creative director, tapped Hawkins to create digital collages meant to mimic arched stained glass windows, while clips faded in of young men seemingly posed for private videos or engaged in casual shirt-tugging. Seven of Hawkins’ paintings were hung strategically on the venue’s back wall, as if mimicking a low-budget New York group exhibition. - In Paris, Loewe Sets Artist Richard Hawkins’s Collages in Motion - via ARTnews
Meltz is a screen printer and collage artist based in the Capitol Region. All of his art deals with the long-term impacts of technology on our lives. For all of her work Ruth uses a continuous line, keeping her pen on the page until the drawing is complete. The line is offset with blocks of colour and collage. - Meet the Staffordshire artist inspired by mid-century design - via Express & Star
In their new attention-grabbing pieces, the artists combine hand-rendered materials with technology to create scenes of nature and manmade landscapes that are all within reach of New Yorkers. Linardaki’s “Diaphanous Paredolia” uses patterns collaged over each other to create urban landscapes of trains, commuters, and buildings while Horn’s “Rockaway” is an homage to the water along New York’s coastline. - New, vibrant digital art pieces now decorate Grand Central Madison - via TimeOut

Carmen Köppel, aka dk_collages, is exhibiting her work under the title HUMAN.ICO as part of Kunst im Sääli. In her collages, architectural components often merge with expressive faces. She works analogue and digital – sometimes mixed. Always at the center: people and their emotions. On the periphery, the play with minimalist design, geometric shapes and balanced compositions and colors. - collage exhibition: Neubad, Luzern, Switzerland, January 26th to April 26th 2024 - vernissage: Friday, Januray 26th at 6pm - all information here

Our 2024 Workbook is out and available for sale on our website. Our weekly creative challenge remains free and open to everyone and everything, digital or analog artists, French or not. The workbook is an optional add-on for those who prefer to work with paper and don’t want to print our images themselves. Like every year, the book is designed so that you can either take it apart or create your collages in the book itself. Week numbers and image sources are on the back of each image, so even if your books falls apart at one point, you will always know what’s what!
And last but not least, have a look at and/or submit to our ‘other’ Instagram account Paris Collage Collective Unlimited where we showcase collages that have absolutely nothing to do with our weekly creative challenge.
If you have any news about exhibitions, publications or events you want so share with the community, please send an email with all relevant information and at least one link to a website or venue to: hello@pariscollagecollective.com
