ARTIST RESIDENCY: Sharp Hands Gallery is hosting an artist residency from May 12 to 22, 2025 in Seattle, Washington to run alongside the second annual Collage-o-rama - a celebration of our compulsion to cut, rip, tear, glue, mashup, and remix. The artists in residence will focus on storytelling through locative collage, assemblage, paste ups or intersection of mediums & an exploration of documentation. More information here
EXHIBITION: Do you mess around with glue and paper, but you prefer keeping your hands clean? Do you use digital methods to apply collage principles? Do you create work in a way that is not accepted by analog-only societies? Are you all-too-familiar with being sidelined or dismissed in conversations about fine art? We’d love to include you inside the big, welcoming Collage-O-Rama tent and connect digital collage artists to each other. Special Agent Collage Collective and Liz Ruest are curating an exhibition of digital collage for display May 9-June 7 at Collage-O-Rama in Seattle, WA (USA). We would love to see work from artists who are invested in the practice of digital collage as one of their primary disciplines. There is no entry fee and you do not have to be a member of SACC to participate. Deadline for entries is March 28. All information here

Since first coming to prominence with her collage for the sleeve of Buzzcocks’ 1977 single “Orgasm Addict”, which spliced an image of a naked female torso with an iron pinched from an Argos catalogue, Linder Sterling (who goes simply by the name Linder) has become known as one of the art world’s foremost provocateurs. - What happened when artist Linder took a scalpel to Laura Bailey? - via Financial Times
Beata Szczecińska isn’t afraid to experiment with techniques. She uses collage, frottage, monotype, and reprinting. Also, she manipulates found images through digital transformation. The artist reconstructs them into multi-layered compositions. By blurring the lines between figuration and abstraction, she gives her forms a fluid quality. It’s as if they exist in a state of continuous metamorphosis. - The Creative Work of Artist Beata Szczecińska aka Cityabyss - via We And The Color

Our 2025 Workbook is out and available for sale on our website. Our weekly creative challenge remains free and open to everyone and everything, digital or analog artists, French or not. The workbook is an optional add-on for those who prefer to work with paper and don’t want to print our images themselves. Like every year, the book is designed so that you can either take it apart or create your collages in the book itself. Week numbers and image sources are on the back of each image, so even if your books falls apart at one point, you will always know what’s what!
And last but not least, have a look at our second Instagram account Paris Collage Collective Unlimited where we showcase collages that have absolutely nothing to do with our weekly creative challenge.
