EXHIBITION: For those of you currently in New York, Emily Marbach is organising a charity collage exhibition in the Big Apple. There will be, and we quote, a special evening of art and community featuring mixed-media collage exhibit entitled Mother One, by London-based artist, Emily Marbach on November 16th from 7PM-9PM at our gallery space on Park Avenue and 91St Street. Through, Mother One, Marbach shares empowering and cross-cultural images of motherhood, further drawing awareness to Every Mother Counts mission -- to make pregnancy and childbirth safe, respectful, and equitable for every mother, everywhere. EXHIBITION: Trained as a photographer, Ronit Porat’s practice in recent years has focused on historical research related to Germany between the wars, and in particular the Weimar Republic in Berlin (1919-1933). Her work focuses on collecting documents (postcards, magazines, maps, slides, etc.) she finds in various archives or online, processing and juxtaposing images from various sources to create poetic collages and wall installations. On display until December 2, 2023 at Galerie Baudoin Lebon here in Paris (their website is unfortunately down, so all information via IG). Ronit Porat will be signing her book ‘Hunting in Time’ on November 17, 2023 at 5pm.

EXHIBITION: The 7th edition of Approche Paris will take place November 9-12, 2023 at Le Molière, 40 rue de Richelieu, Paris, and there seems to be a lot of collage on show this year. If you’re in Paris and want to have a look for yourself, entry is free but you need to make a reservation. More info here and here.

PCC: Our 2024 Workbook is out and available for sale on our website. Our weekly creative challenge remains free and open to everyone and everything, digital or analog artists, French or not. The workbook is an optional add-on for those who prefer to work with paper and don’t want to print our images themselves. Like every year, the book is designed so that you can either take it apart or create your collages in the book itself. Week numbers and image sources are on the back of each image, so even if your books falls apart at one point, you will always know what’s what!
