As the end of year is nearly upon us, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for an amazing year - for four amazing years and 209 weekly challenges to be precise. Thank you for everything you do to make this a supportive and lively community of likeminded people. Thank you for the care and attention you give to each other, the comments and messages of encouragement, the offers of help and advice, the collaborations and conversations, the dedication and commitment.
It’s been a year full of creative challenges, open calls, meet-ups and workshops, and I hope next year will be even fuller. Each end of the year is also a new beginning, and no matter how you feel about 2022, let’s put it behind us and move forward to something new and exciting. And remember, it’s never too late to be what or who you might have been. Happy New Year!

We promised to announce who made the long list of our last Open Call - in collaboration with Centre Anim’ Rachid Taha in Paris - before the end of the year, and since we are still having website issues, more on this later, we will do this here. We received almost 250 official collage submissions from 45 different countries, and making a choice was as always nearly impossible. 70 artists made it into the catalogue (which will come out by the end of January), and from those 70 artists at least 35 will be chosen for the exhibition and contacted individually via email throughout January.
Below you can find the long list of collage artists in alphabetical order. Many thanks to everyone who participated, and congratulations to the artists who made it. If we could, we’d include all your work in both the catalogue and the exhibition, but unfortunately we cannot.

No worries, we will double and triple check spelling and accents for the catalogue and exhibition. And there will be a bigger announcement with bells and whistles on both Instagram and our website in the new year. Speaking of…
Most of you will have noticed that we are having website issues since last Friday. It started with SSL (security certificate) issues, and because we know this made some people nervous and for full transparency we will give you the full story. Apparently - and this took us all week to piece together - when our domain name got renewed, the registrar didn’t process the information properly and so the domain, while being paid for and pointing to a perfectly functioning website, is registered as expired. There has never been any security risk on our website. Because the registrar is neither particularly responsive nor cooperative, we’ve decided to move the domain somewhere else. This should only take a few hours, but we unfortunately need to wait for the domain to be unlocked by said not very cooperative registrar, so all bets as to how long this may take are off and this may take forever, meaning another day or two. Again, there have never been any security risks on the website. In the meantime, we added a link tree to Instagram where you can find all relevant links: the two most recent challenges, this here newsletter, and the 2023 Workbook.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
